Abstract

Present paper seeks to expound the concept of mind and brain in the context of relation between cognitive science and Buddhism rather Buddhist philosophy. "Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary scientific study of the mind and its processed". The main
field of modern cognitive science is to know that how information is represented and transformed in the brain. Thus, it deals with multiple disciplines like psychology, philosophy, linguistics, artificial intelligence, neuroscience and anthropology. On the other
hand in Buddhism, there are many schools which comprises theory, religious practices and social science which provides sufficient materials on philosophy, soteriology and various other topics related to universe including physical and medical sciences. In the present paper I have discussed mainly philosophical aspects of cognitive science in context of Buddhist logic propounded by Dingnaga in his text "Pramanasamuccaya".
